An Aberdeen, Scotland quintet led by bassist/vocalist Iain Slater and guitarist Glenn Roberts, APB proffered a brand of dance-rock that was by turns tense and odd, or light and pop-oriented. The group began recording singles in 1981; their output over the next four years was collected on 1985's singles comp Something to Believe In. APB's first full-length album, Cure for the Blues, was issued the following year, a poppier outing than much of their previous work; later on in 1986, the band issued a four-track EP entitled Missing You Already, which featured Slater and Roberts switching instruments. True to its title, the EP proved to be APB's final release. ~ Steve Huey, All Music Guide
