The Lucy Show was a British quartet whose guitar-oriented songs owed much to the atmospherics of early Cure material. After debuting in 1984 with a self-titled EP, the band released its only album to feature the entire lineup intact, Undone, in 1985; guitarist/keyboardist/vocalist Peter Barraclough and drummer/vocalist Bryan Hudspeth departed afterwards, leaving a nucleus of guitarist/keyboardist/vocalist Mark Bandola and bassist/vocalist Rob Vandeven, plus assorted studio sidemen. 1986's Mania was produced by John Leckie, but it failed to make much of an impression despite more musical variations on the band's sound. ~ Steve Huey, All Music Guide
