The November Group was a synth dance duo consisting of keyboardist Kearney Kirby and guitarist/vocalist Ann Prim, plus augmenting studio musicians. Formed in Boston, the group debuted in 1981 with a slick, self-titled EP and followed it up with another EP, the more diverse Persistent Memories, in 1983. A major-label deal with A&M followed and resulted in 1985's Work That Dream, which was recorded in Frankfurt, Germany, and featured a reworking of the group's signature song, "Put Your Back to It." ~ Steve Huey, All Music Guide
