The Zero Boys were a hardcore quartet from Indianapolis led by vocalist/guitarist Paul Mahern (aka Paul-Z), and also featured guitarist Terry Hollywood, bassist David "Tufty" Clough, and drummer Mark Cutsinger. After a 7" EP titled Livin' in the '80s, the Zero Boys issued their debut album, Vicious Circle, in 1982 (it has since been reissued with bonus cuts by both Toxic Shock and Lookout). Although the group broke up relatively quickly, its members reunited periodically for performances; two members later joined Toxic Reasons, while Mahern formed another band, the Datura Seeds. ~ Steve Huey, All Music Guide
